Community space offers you an Opportunity like no other, to rejuvenate, refresh, reboot. We are a no-frills place, where you can live the way you like.
When we set out to develop this property, we were clear about one thing—we would not change the contours of the place. We left it the way nature intended, and did our landscaping accordingly. We even chose the spaces to build the villas based on the contours.
Water supply to all the Villa’s follows the gravity principle, conserving energy and avoiding the need for a separate water tank for every Villa.
You will find the weather at Shoolagiri neither too hot nor too cold—just right all round the year. Proper cross ventilation, double-tiled roofs, with natural plastering on the walls further insulates the Villa from heat and keeps the indoors as pleasant as the outdoors.

Grenville is hosted by Muthiah Palaniappan, who was a typical IT guy, working for Standard Chartered, Infosys, and Aspire Systems in India and Canada.
Then, he spent time at Auroville learning carpentry and architecture by interacting with some international architects residing there. Then, he set out to create this property, which has been his passion for the past few years, and gave him hands-on experience in farming, cattle rearing, and native poultry farming.
You can meet him at Grenville, and get some firsthand experience with these activities.
